Shipping Policy; Terms & Conditions

Items represented on this site constitute an offer to sell. After you have placed an order online, the sale is complete once an employee of Wine World has accepted and processed the order. All orders, including orders designated for in-store pickup or delivery, must be paid in advance. No order will be considered complete until payment has been submitted. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. All credit card data is transmitted securely.

Order Processing Time

Orders take approximately 1- 2 hours to process and will ship usually the same day or next. Shipping times do not include Saturday and Sunday. You will be notified via email when your order is shipped with a tracking number.  If your order will be picked up, you will be given a ready time.

If an item is out of stock, in limited supply, or has a longer lead time to fill, we will contact you by email.

Delivery

We will accept orders via our website or phone calls for local delivery to zip codes stated below.  Delivery orders must be a total of $25.00 pre-tax minimum.  We will deliver Monday thru Saturday  11:00am-2:00pm and 4:00pm-7:00pm.  All orders received after stated times will be delivered next day.  We do not deliver on Sunday due to staffing limitations.  All orders must be prepaid using a credit card. Delivery fees are $5.00 for Zone 1 and $8.00 for Zone 2.  Local area delivery outside delivery zip codes may be considered.  Please call store directly to inquire.

Age Verification

All customers are required to prove that they are at least 21 years old at the time they place their first order. At our discretion, we may request that you submit proof of age via e-mail or fax prior to your order being shipped. Proof of ID will include but not be limited to your driver’s license clearly showing the expiry date. All wines and spirits that are shipped on your behalf must be received and signed for by an adult of legal drinking age.

Quantity Limitations

We reserve the right to limit quantities. Prices are valid on the day of sale and not guaranteed beyond that date.

Shipping

All orders that you request to be shipped will be sent via FedEx using their special ID verification policy for alcoholic products. They will require Proof of Age ID by an adult of legal drinking age upon delivery.

All shipping costs are estimated. Actual costs will be confirmed with you when your order is placed. Shipping insurance is included on all orders. This covers breakage and loss during transport. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us prior to placing your order.

In the case of breakage during shipping, visual photographic proof of the product along with all damaged shipping materials will be required for acceptance. In the case of loss, non-delivery verification will be required. Replacement product(s) may be shipped following receipt of satisfactory verification of the issue.

Excessive Weather

All wines are stored in our climate-controlled warehouse, but once they leave our facility we can no longer protect them from weather-related damage. Wine World is not responsible for any wines that are damaged by excessive heat or cold during the shipping process.

Telephone Orders

If you are not comfortable with releasing your credit card information via our website, you may place your order over the phone.  During busy shopping days close to all major holidays, we reserve the right to restrict phone orders.  If needed, we will be happy to take your phone number and call you back when we have a person available to assist you.

States, Counties Not Shipped to

Due to the numerous US State laws regarding the sale and transportation of alcoholic beverages, we presently cannot ship to the following States:

Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, , Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and Utah.

Dry Counties: Please note, if you live in a dry county, your order will not be shipped. For more information, please check with your local state or county.

Cancellations/Returns

Returns are not accepted under any circumstances once they have been delivered or received except for corked or defective product. Cancellations are allowed up to the time of shipping or the receiver fails to show proper ID proving they are 21 of age or older.

Should a product be found defective, please contact Wine World with 48 hours and a review will be initiated. Wine World reserves the right to accept or decline a product due to defects based on industry standard practices as allowed by New York State laws.

Advantage Rewards Club Points

To earn points, a customer must have an Advantage Rewards Club (ARC) account.  A customer may sign up in-store or online.  There is no cost to be a member of the ARC.

Earning Points:

  • Every time a customer shops with their ARC account, their purchases accumulate points. $1 = 1 point
  • A customer must use their ARC account to earn points.  No points can be earned without applying their account to their purchase transaction.
  • All Points earned round up. (Example: an item may cost 19.01 – 19.99, they will still earn 20 points).
  • Receive 50 “Welcome” Points for new sign-ups.
  • All points are awarded on pre-tax item cost, not transaction cost.
  • Included in earning points:
    • All Wines, all size bottles, even 187 mls
    • All Spirits, all size bottles, even mini’s
    • All Baskets
    • All Accessories and Gift Bags
  • When purchasing gift cards, customers will not earn points on the purchase of the card.  A customer will earn points on the items purchased using the gift card.
  • Customers may read their receipt to get information on there current accumulation and redemption status of points.  Customers may ask Wine World for a report of all points earned. Please allow for 24-48 hours for this request to be fulfilled.

Redeeming Points:

  • 300 Points = $5.00 OFF Total Pre-tax Transaction.  No Minimum purchase for redemption transaction.
  • 600 Points = $12.00 OFF Total Pre-tax Transaction.  No Minimum purchase for redemption transaction.
  • Customers cannot combine points redemption and the use of any coupons in the same transaction.
  • Points redemption is accepted on purchases of items at regular price, EDLP, 2 for pricing, sale pricing and case discounts.  Only coupons cannot be used with points redemption.
  • Customers may redeem their points on the next transaction after reaching a level or anytime afterwards.  They may choose to wait for a deeper level so to take advantage of a larger redemption value.
  • Redeeming points gives a dollar amount off the total purchase. The points program spreads the dollar amount over all items and combines it with any other discounts in the purchase. You will see a discount code: HP1 on the receipt.  This signifies the redemption discount was applied.
  • After applying the redemption value, points are earning for the remaining value.
  • Points do not expire.
  • Customers may read their receipt to get information on there current accumulation and redemption status of points.  Customers may ask Wine World for a report of all points earned. Please allow for 24-48 hours for this request to be fulfilled.

Title of Ownership

For all items purchased from Wine World, title is passed to the purchaser in New York State immediately upon receiving full payment. All items must be paid for in full prior to arrangements for delivery. Wine World performance obligation under the purchase agreement for the sale of wine and liquor is complete upon tender of the merchandise to a third party carrier for transportation and delivery.
